Intel GMA500 (Poulsbo) drivers for OpenSUSE 11.2

Packages

These are packages that provide libraries and modules needed to get some level of support for Poulsbo hardware found in some small notebooks such as Dell Inspiron Mini series. Expect nothing fancy — be thankful for panel's native resolution.

The packages are available at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/lkundrak:/poulsbo/

You can install it by adding a a correct repository (see above) using zypper ar command and in turn run zypper in xorg-x11-psb. If anyone creates an one-click-install shit, feel free to pass it to me and I'll add a link here.

Q & A

Why is GMA500 not supported out of box and available support is so bad?
It's all Intel's fault. They don't think so though.
Why aren't these in official OpenSUSE repositories?
I did not find out how to contribute the packages to OpenSUSE yet, I'll try to have a look. And I'm not even sure if they accept closed shit.
Kurwa, panie kapitanie, nic nie zrozumiałem.
Pewnie dlatego, że jesteś tępym chujem.
Is this always going to suck that much?
Maybe not. Follow Phoronix news.

Apart from the kernel module package which was made by me, these packages come from RPM Fusion, which is an add-on repository for Fedora and RHEL and were created by Adam Williamson.
